Kerfoot, John Barrett

college president, protestant episcopal bishop, was born March 1, 1816, in Ireland. From 1842 to 1864 he was president of St. James college, Maryland, and was also president Οι Trinity college from 1864 to 1867. He was first protestant episcopal bishop of Pittsburg and seventy-eighth in succession in the American episcopate. He died July 10, 1881, in Meyersdale, Pa.

KERLEREC, LOUIS BILLOUART DE, governor, was born in 1704 in France.

For twenty-five years he was in the French navy; and during 1753-63 was governor of Louisiana.
