Joslin, Thomas Jefferson

clergyman, was born April 29, 1829, in Cohocton, N. Y. In 1844 he moved with his parents to Michigan.

He has been a member of the Detroit annual conference of the methodist episcopal church for half a century; has filled important pastorates; served three full terms as presiding elder; oneterm as a delegate to the general conference at Philadelphia; and one term as regent of the university of Michigan. He is still doing effective work, and has gained special prominence throughout Michigan by his Addresses, Orations, and Dedications, for which occasions he is in constant demand.
