Johnson, Edward
author, was born ín 1599 in England. He was the principal founder of Woburn, Mass., in 1640, and a , and a prominent citizen of that town for the rest of his life. He was the author of The Wonder-Working Providence of Zion's Savior in New England, which is a valuable account of New England from the English planting in 1628 till 1652; and an edition, with Introduction and Notes by W. F. Poole. He died April 23, 1672, in Woburn, Mass.
