Hylton, John Dunbar

business man, author, poet, was born March 25, 1837, in the West Indies. The Farmer Poet is aptly applied by the newspapers of New Jersey to Dr.

J. Dunbar Hylton.

He has written quite a number of books, Betrayed, a northern tale; The Bride of Gettysburg, an episode of 1863; The Heir of Lyolynn, a tale of sea and land, and other poems; Arteloise; and the Sea King. Dr. Dunbar Hylton is now a resident of Palmyra, N. J., where he is engaged in business and literary work.
