Humphrey, Nelson G

business man, poet, was born May 17, 1845, in Wyoming county, N. Y. He is the author of a volume of poems entitled Random Shots, of which the Cincinnati Enquirer says that any one of the poems contained therein is enough to stamp him as the most original singer of the day.

He constantly tributed prose and verse to the leading publications of Amerconica; and several of his poems have been included in Poets of America and other standard collections. He is a successful real estate and exchange broker of Le Roy, Ill., where he is prominently identified with the political affairs of his county and state.
