Hinds, Herbert C

clergyman, was born June 22, 1857, in Cossayuna, N. Y.

He graduated from Union college, and then entered the Princeton Theological seminary, and was ordained in 1885. He then went abroad, and on his return became pastor of the First presbyterian church of Amsterdam, N. Y.; and there established a second presbyterian church, which was christened Emmanuel. In 1887 he became pastor of the Second Reformed church of Schenectady, N. Y.; and since 1891 has been pastor of the Ninth presbyterian church of Troy, N.

Y. In 1889 Union college honored him with the degree of A. M.
