Hill, Mark Langdon

lawyer, jurist, state senator, congressman, was born June 30, 1772, in Biddeford, Maine. He was at various periods a member of the senate and house of representatives of Massachusetts, a judge of the court of common pleas, member of congress from Massachusetts from 1819 to 1821, and from Maine from 1821 to 1823. He was postmaster at Phippsburg, Maine; collector of the port at Bath, and held several town and county offices. He died Nov. 26, 1842, in Phippsburg, Maine.
