Heyward, Thomas
signer of the declaration of independence, was born in 1746, in Parish of St. Luke, S. C. He was elected to the assembly in North Carolina; North Carolina; was a delegate to the continental congress from 1776 to 1798, and signed the declarathe declaration of independence and articles of conarticles of confederation. He was subsequently a judge of the civil and criminal courts of the state. He died March 6, 1809, in St. Luke's Parish, S. C.
