Hamilton, Wade
clergyman, was born July 7, 1855, in Ashley county, Ark.
He has been on the board of trustees of Wiley university for fourteen years, and president of the board for two years.
He has built a large number of churches and parsonages, and has contributed extensively to church literature. He was United States senator from Maryfrom Maryland from 1869 to 1875; and was elected governor of Maryland for the term of four years from 1880. He died Oct. 26, 1888, in Hagerstown, Md.
HAMLIN, ALFRED DWIGHT FOSTER, educator, architect, author, was born in 1855 in Turkey. He is an architect, and has been professor of architecture in Coarchitecture in Columbia college since 1889. He is the auis the author of Handbook of the History of Ornaof Ornament.
