Granger, Miles Tobey
lawyer, jurist, congressman, was born Aug. 12, 1817, in New Marlborough, Mass. He was elected judge of the superior court of Connecticut; and in 1876 was elected judge of the supreme court, which he held till 1887, when he resigned. He was a member of the Connecticut house of representatives in 1857; and of the senate in 1866-67. He held the office of judge of the superior court nineteen and a half years consecutively, and was elected to the fiftieth congress as a democrat.
