Folsom, George

state senator, diplomat, author, was born May 23, 1802, in Kennebunk, Maine.

He was an antiquarian writer of New York city; and in 1844 was a member of the state senate.

He was the author of Sketches of Saco and and Biddeford, Maine; Dutch Annals of New York; Letters and Dispatches of translated from the Spanish; and Political Condition of Mexico. He died March 27, 1869, in Rome, Italy.
