Flohr, George Daniel

Florence, Thomas Birch
journalist, congressman, was born Jan. 26, 1812, in Philadelphia, Pa. In 1850 he was elected to congress, where he served continuously until 1861. He established and edited, in Washington, a Sunday paper called the Gazette. He died July 3, 1875, in Washington, D. C.

He has attained success as an able lawyer of Birmingham, Ala., where he takes a prominent part in the public affairs of his county and state.
