Elliott, Robert Brown

lawyer, congressman, was born Aug. 11, 1842, in Boston, Mass. He was a member of the state constitutional convention of South Carolina in 1868; and was a member of the house of representatives of South Carolina from 1868 to 1870. In 1869 he was appointed assistant adjutant-general, which position he held until elected to the forty-second congress; and was reelected to the forty-third congress. died in 1884, in New Orleans, La.
