Eickhoff, Anthony
journalist, congressman, was born April 11, 1827, in Westphalia, Germany. He had editorial charge of newspapers at St. Louis, Louisville, and finally at New York, where he located permanently in 1852. In 1863 he was appointed commissary general of subsistence of the state of New York; and was subsequently elected a representative in the New York legislature. He was elected coroner of the city of New York in 1873; and was elected a representative from New York to the fortyfifth congress. EIDLITZ, CYRUS LAZELLE WARN- ER, architect, was born July 27, 1853, in New York city. Among the buildings that he has designed are the Michigan Central railway station in Detroit; the Dearborn station in Chicago; and the Buffalo library.
