Douglas, George
physician, was born May 7, 1823, in Franklin, N. Y. He commenced the practice of his profession at Oxford, N. Y., where he entered at once upon a large and lucrative practice.
During the civil war he was appointed surgeon of the examining board of the nineteenth district of New York at Oxford.
DOUGLAS, JOHN. He was commissioned lieutenant-colonel early in the war, rose to the rank of colonel, and finally to that of general, and served with distinction throughout the war.
