Dolge, Alfred

manufacturer, was born Dec. 22, 1848, in Germany. He is now the head of the great firm of Alfred Dolge and Son; a partner in C. F.

Zimmerman and Co., manufacturers of autoharps; and Daniel Green and Co., second vice-president of The Little Falls and Dolgeville railroad, and in New York city, trustee of The German Savings bank. The village of Dolgeville, founded by him, has become the model industrial town of American origin, both in its social and economic aspects.
