Dillingham, Paul
lawyer, jurist, state senator, congressman, governor, was born in August, 1800, in Shutesbury, Mass. He was justice of the peace eighteen years; was state's attorney for Washington county from 1835 to 1838; and was a member of the constitutional convention in 1836 and 1837. He was a representative to the general assembly six years; state senator in 1841 and 1842; and was elected a representative in congress from 1843 to 1847; and was elected governor of Vermont for the year 1866.
