Dibrell, James A
physician, surgeon, was born Aug. 20, 1846, in Van Buren, Ark. In 1865 he commenced the study of medicine, and five years later graduated from the university of Pennsylvania, in which institution he subsequently attended a course of lectures. In 1870 he commenced the practice of his profession in Little Rock, Ark., and has been eminently successful. For fifteen years he was physician to the Arkansas Deaf and Mute institute; and is now professor of anatomy, president and dean of the medical department of Arkansas Industrial university; also local surgeon for several railroads, and United States examining surgeon for pensions.
