Darlington, Isaac
soldier, lawyer, jurist, congressman, was born Dec. 13, 1781, in Westtown, Pa. In 1807 he was elected to the state legislature; served as a volunteer lieutenant in the last war with England; and was a member of congress from Pennsylvania from 1817 to 1819. In 1820 he was appointed deputy attorney-general for Chester county; and in 1821 was appointed president judge of the county court, which office he held until his death. He died April 27, 1839. DARLINGTON, JAMES HENRY, clergyman, was born June 9, 1856, in Brooklyn, N. Y. He became pastor of Christ church of Brooklyn in 1883; is a trustee of Rutgers College for Women of New York city; and is an officer in many working associations.
