Damrosch, Walter J

musician, was born Jan. 30, 1862, in Prussia. He has attained a national reputation as a musician; has devoted himself successfully to the production of the works of Wagner; and is in much demand as a lecturer on musical themes.

DANA, ALEXANDER HAMILTON, lawyer, author, was born in 1807 in England. He was a lawyer of New York state; and the author of Ethical and Physiological Inquiries; Inductive Inquiries in Physiology; Ethics and Ethnology; and Enigmas of Life, Death and the Future State. He died in 1887.
