Crawford, William Henry
educator, clergyman, college president, was born Oct. 6, 1855, in Milton Center, Ill.
He is an active worker in the Epworth league, and as a lecturer has gained an enviable reputation. Since 1893 he has been president of the Alleghany college of Meadville, Pa. was CRAWFORD, WILLIAM THOMAS, merchant, lawyer, congressman, born June 1, 1856, in Haywood county, N. C. He was elected to the state legislature in 1884 and in 1886; was a democratic elector in 1888; and was engrossing clerk of the state house of representatives in 1889.
He was elected to the fifty-second and fifty-third congresses as a democrat. He graduated in law from the state university of North Carolina.
