Cragin, Aaron H

lawyer, United States senator, was born Feb. 3, 1821, in Weston, Vt. He was a member of the New Hampshire legislature from 1852 to 1855; was elected a representative from that state to the thirty-fifth congress, and was re-elected to the thirty-sixth congress. In 1859 he was again elected a member of the state legislature; and in 1864 was elected a senator in congress from New Hampshire for the term of six years from 1865; and re-elected for the term ending in 1877.
