Cook, Joseph
lecturer, author, was born Jan. 26, 1838, near Ticonderoga, N.
Y. In 1874 he began a series of Monday lectures in Boston, Mass., on the relations of religion and science; and subsequently delivered them in the principal cities of the United States. He has lectured throughout the principal countries of Europe, and in India, China, Japan, Australia, and the Sandwich Islands. His published works, comprising his lectures, carefully written out, have been very successful, some of which have passed through as many as sixteen editions. His works are Boston Monday Lectures, in ten volumes; and Current Religious Perils, with Other Addresses on Leading Reforms.
