Clark, Alonzo

educator, physician, author, was born March 1, 1807, in Ches ter, Mass. From 1849-55 he was professor of physiology and pathology in the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New York city; was consulting physician of the Northeastern dispensary and of the Northern dispensary, and in 1861 was made president of the medical board of St. Luke's hospital. He was a noted lecturer, and the author of a number of articles on medical subjects. He died Sept. 13, 1887, in New York.
