Charlton, Walter Glasco

lawyer, was born June 5, 1851, in Savannah, Ga. He received his education at the Rock academy; the Pen-Lucy school of Baltimore county, Md.; and the university of Virginia. He has attained prominence as an able lawyer of Savannah, Ga., of which city he has served as alderman for three terms. He has been solicitor of the eastern circuit of Georgia; chairman of the democratic party of Chatham county for three terms; chairman of the democratic congressional convention of the first district in 1886; and temporary chairman of the state convention in 1885.
