Champlin, Christopher E

lawyer, state senator, was born Sept. 24, 1860, in New Shoreham, R. I. He was admitted to the Suffolk county bar in 1884, and subsequently to the Rhode Island bar, where he has since practiced law. He Thas been senator since 1890.

CHAMPLIN, CHRISTOPHER GRANT, banker, congressman, United States senator, was born April 12, 1768, in Newport, R. I. He was a member of congress from Rhode Island from 1797 to 1801; and a senator of the United States from 1809 to 1811.. He died March 28, 1840, in Newport, R. I.
