Atwill, Edward Robert

clergyman, bishop, was born Feb. 18, 1840, in Red Hook, N. Y. He received his education at the Hudson Classical institute; graduated from Columbia college in 1862; and was ordained in 1864, and consecrated a bishop in 1890. He was rector of St. Paul's church of Burlington, Vt.; and in 1882 became rector of the Trinity church of Toledo, Ohio. Since 1890 he has been bishop of west Missouri, residing in Kansas City.

He has contributed valuable articles to church literature and the secular press.
