Anderson, Samuel
congressman, was born in 1774, in Pennsylvania. He served repeatedly in the legislature of that state; and was speaker of me house during two sessions. He was elected a representative in congress from Pennsylvania from 1827 to 1839, and was a member of the committee on the boundary line of Missouri. He died Jan. 17, 1850, in Chester, Pa.
ANDERSON, SAMUEL GRAHAM, clergyman, evangelist, was born Sept. 17, 1842, in Glasgow, Scotland. In 1876 he was ordained a clergyman of the baptist church, and has filled pastorates in Canada, New York and Michigan, in which latter state he fills a pastorate in Ishpeming. He has been instrumental in organizing and building a number of churches; takes a practicable interest in all missionary, education and charitable enterprises; and has been very successful as an evangelist.
