Alden, Ebenezer

physician, author, was born March 17, 1788, in Randolph, Mass. He was of the seventh generation from John Alden of Mayflower memory, and was graduated at Harvard in 1808. He studied medicine at Dartmouth and at the university of Pennsylvania, and followed his profession throughout This life in his native town. He published Historical Sketches of the Massachusetts Medical Society; Memoirs of Mrs. M. A. O.

Clark, and the Alden Memorial (Boston, 1867). He died Jan. 26, 1881, in Randolph, Mass.
