Woodworth, Laurin D

soldier, state senator, congressman, was born Sept. 10, 1837, in Windham, Ohio. He was educated at Hiram college; was admitted to the bar in 1859, and practiced law at Ravenna, Ohio. He was a major in the army in the war for the union. and was elected to the senate of Ohio in 1867 and 1869. He was elected to the forty-third congress, serving on the committees on the interior department and manufactures, and was re-elected to the forty-fourth congress as a republican.
