Wood, William Henry Sigel
educator, lawyer, orator, public official, was born Oct. 10, 1858, in Goodrich, Mich.
For ten years he was engaged in educational work; was in the railway mail service in 1885, a civil service clerk in the postoffice department of Washington during 1885-90. In 1891 he was clerk of the Michigan state board of auditors; in 1892 superintendent of the Michigan State Reform school; in 1893 superintendent Michigan State Industrial School for Boys; and in 1897 was elected circuit court commissioner of Livingston county, Mich.
