Williams, Roger Butler

manufacturer, banker, was born May 8, 1848, in Ithaca, N. Y. He received the rudiments of his education in the public schools of his native city, and in 1868 graduated from Yale college.

He is the senior member of Williams Brothers, successful manufacturers of agricultural implements and machinery of Ithaca, N. Y. He has been cashier of the Merchants' and Farmers' National bank of Ithaca; president of the Ithaca Savings bank; president of the board of education; chairman of the board of sewer commissioners; besides filling various other public positions of honor with distinction. He takes an active part in the political affairs of his city, county and state, and is prominent in several fraternal orders.
