Waller, Thomas Mcdonald

lawyer, state legislator, governor, was born about 1840 in New York city. He was a representative in the Connecticut state legislature in 1867, 1868, 1872 and 1876, and was speaker of the house during the latter term. He was secretary of state in 1870, and was state's attorney from 1876 until 1883, when he resigned to enter upon the duties of governor of Connecticut, to which office he had been elected the previous November for the term of two years.
