Strayhorn, Robert Jasper
farmer, jurist, was born Oct. 6, 1835, in Haywood county, Tenn. He is a successful farmer and ranchman of Snyder, Texas.
He has been county commissioner, county judge; and filled various other public positions of trust. STREATOR, WORTHY STEVENS, railroad president, state senator, was born Oct. 16, 1816, in Hamilton, N. Y. In 1870 he was elected president of the Cleveland, Lorain and Wheeling railroad; but in 1878 he took the vice-presidency, which position he has since retained. He was a state senator in 1868-72, and, under the appointment of President Hayes, internal revenue collector at Cleveland in 1879-85.
