Shaw, Rodney K
soldier, lawyer, writer, was born Dec. 13, 1829, in Copenhagen, N. Y. He received the rudiments of his education in the common schools of his native county; attended Union academy of Bellville, N. Y.; the Lowville academy; and subsequently graduated from a Chautauqua course. During the war he served as captain of the sixtythird regiment, Ohio volunteer infantry; and was commissioner for relief of soldier-comrades of his county. He is one of the foremost lawyers of Ohio at Marietta; and has contributed extensively both prose and verse to the periodical press.
