Sanders, Bleuford B
soldier, merchant, educator, clergyman, was born Sept. 19, 1840, near Carrollton, Ala. In 1861 he enlisted as a confederate soldier, and served four years; when he began educational work and taught for eight years. He then entered mercantile business until 1886, when he became a minister of the gospel, and is now pastor of the First Christian church of Austin, Tex., which has one of the largest congregations of that church in the state. For eight years he was an evangelist and served under the auspices of the Texas State Missionary board of the Christian church.
