Roddey, Philip Dale
soldier, was born in 1818 in North Carolina. He organized a company of scouts early in 1861 for the confederate service, and subsequently a brigade, and was commissioned brigadier-general in 1863.
RODENBOUGH, THEOPHILUS FRAN- CIS, soldier, author, was born Nov. 5, 1838, in Easton, Pa. He is a federal army officer, assistant inspector-general of New York state in 1880-83; and the author of From Everglade to Canon with the Second United States Cavalry; Afghanistan and the Anglo-Russian Dispute; and Uncle Sam's Medal of Honor.
