Richards, Francis Henry

inventor, was born Oct. 20, 1850, in New Hartford, Conn. He has invented a great many valuable machines and devices, which he has given to the public.

RICHARDS, FRANKLIN DEWEY, Mormon apostle, state legislator, was born April 2, 1821, in Richmond, Mass. In 1849 he was ordained one of the twelve apostles of Salt Lake City; in 1852 was a member of the legislature; and re-elected in 1856.

In 1889 he became historian and general recorder of the church at Salt Lake City, which position he still holds.
