Reinhart, Joseph W
railroad president, was born Sept. 17, 1851, in Pittsburg, Pa. As general auditor and vice-president of the company, he formulated, in 1889, the plan for financial reorganization of The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fé railroad, and carried it out with such success that the company, recognizing his sagacity and foresight, advanced him through different stages to the presidency in 1893. He is now president of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fé, the St. Louis, Kansas City and Colorado, the Atlantic and Pacific, the Colorado Midland, the Wichita and Western, the Southern California, the New Mexico and Arizona, and the Sonora railroads.
