Ransbottom, Claude
lawyer, legislator, jurist, was born July 4, 1838, in Indianapolis, Ind. He attended the Yale college; and subsequently was admitted to the bar. He has served with distinction as judge of the forty-fourth judicial circuit of Indiana; and has been a member of the Indiana state legislature; and filled the high office of lieutenant-governor of Indiana. While a member of the state legislature he took an active part in the deliberations of that body, and was one of its most fluent speakers. He is one of the foremost lawyers of Indiana at Winamac; and contributes extensively to law literature.
