Raney, George P
soldier, lawyer, state legislator, jurist, was born Oct. 11, 1845, in Leon county, Fla. He graduated from the law school of the university of Virginia; and has attained success as an able lawyer of Tallahassee, Fla. He entered the confederate army in 1863, and served till the close of the war. During 1868-70 ביוב he was a member of the Florida state legislature; and during 1877-85 was attorney-general of Florida. During 1885- 89 he was associate justice of the state supreme court; and in 1889-94 was chief justice of the supreme court of Florida.
