Ogden, Octavius Nash
lawyer, author, was born Feb. 14, 1852, in New Orleans, La. His father was Abner Nash Ogden, one of the justices of the supreme court of Louisiana, and a grandson of Abner Nash, the first governor of North Carolina. He received his early education in New Orleans, and finished his studies at the university of Virginia.
He was admitted to the bar in 1873, and has attained success in his profession at New Orleans. He is the author of Halimah, an Indian Legend; Dominic You; and other works, and has contributed extensively to current literature.
