Horton, Nathan C

educator, lawyer, poet, was born Nov. 2, 1869, in Chester, N. J. In his youth he taught school, and subsequently graduated from the state model school of Trenton, N. J. In 1888 he entered the law department of the university of Pennsylvania, and at the same time was city editor of The Advance of Middletown. The following year he graduated and received the degree of bachelor of laws. In 1895 he became city counsel of Orange, N. J. For many years he was editor of The Insurance News of Philadelphia; has contributed extensively to the periodical press; and his poems have been given a place in several standard works.
