Higley, Warren
educator, lawyer, jurist, was born July 1, 1833, near Auburn, N. Y. For a number of years he taught school; and in 1862 graduated from Hamilton college. He subsequently became secretary of the board of education of Auburn; was principal of the high school; and superintendent of public schools. In 1874 he was admitted to the bar in Cincinnati; and in 1881 was elected judge of the city court. He was a founder of the Ohio State Forestry association, and was its president until his removal to New York city in 1884.
