Haun, Henry P

lawyer, jurist, United States senator, was born Jan. 18, 1815, in Scott county, Ky. He was for a time attorney for his native county. He moved to Iowa in 1845; and was a member of the convention which formed the constitution of that state in 1846. He moved to California in 1850, and was there elected a county judge; and in 1859 was elected a senator in congress from California to fill a vacancy. He died May 6, 1860, in Marysville, Cal.
