Flower, George
pioneer, was born about 1780, in England. He founded the city of Albion; and built the first buildfirst building, of the log cabin order, being a tavern and blacksmith shop combined. He died Jan. 15, 1862, in Grayville, Ill.
FLOWER, ROSWELL PETTABONE, merchant, congressman, was born Aug. 7, 1835, in Theresa, N. Y. He was elected a representative from New York to the forty-seventh congress to fill a vacancy; a vacancy; declined a renomination. He gave fifty thousand dollars to the St. Thomas Home of New York city.
