Flint, Austin
physician, author, was born Oct. 20, 1812, in Petersham, Mass. He was a distinguished physician of New York city who held professorships in several New York medical colleges, and was the author of Practice of Medicine; Continued Fever; Chronic Pleurisy; Dysentery; Physical Explanation and Diagnosis of Diseases of the Respiratory Organs; Diseases of the Heart; Essays on Conservative Medicine; Phthisis; Clinical Medicine; Manual of Auscultation and Percussion: Medical Ethics and Etiquette; and Medicine of the Future. He died March 13, 1886, in New York city.
