Fisk, James
lawyer, jurist, congressman, United States senator, was born about 1762. He was a representative in congress from Vermont from 1805 to 1809, and from 1811 to 1815, when he was appointed one of the judges of the supreme court of Vermont. He was a senator in congress during the years 1817 and 1818, and resigned; and in 1812 was appointed judge of the territory of Indiana, and in 1817 collector of the port of Alburg, which office he held eight years. He died Dec. 1, 1844, in Swanton, Vt.
