DE VINNE, DANIEL, clergyman, author, was born Feb. 1, 1793, in Ireland. He was a methodist clergyman of New York city; and the author of The Methodist Episcopal Church and Slavery; Recollections of Fifty Years in the Ministry; and Irish Primitive Church. He died Feb. 10, 1883, in Morrisania, N. Y.
