Church, Jarvis S

lawyer, jurist, was born April 2, 1830, in Springboro, Crawford county, Pa. He received his education at the Kingsville academy, Ohio; and the Oberlin college. He was admitted to the bar in Waterloo, Iowa, in 1857, and has attained prominence as an able lawyer of Auburn, Neb. For three years he was county judge in Cerro Gordo county, Iowa; and ten years served as county judge of Nebraska county, Neb. His decisions have shown him to possess a clear legal mind, for judicial fairness and justice. He is prominent in the public affairs of his county and state.
